Simplicity and responsibility

The design direction reflected this concept of simplicity and responsibility. Fresh, clean, and minimal, the brand identity emphasized transparency and trust. The visual language was restrained yet distinctive, with thoughtful use of space, refined typography, and a balance between modern aesthetics and natural cues. This approach reinforced the idea of “basic” not as ordinary, but as essential and intentional. At the core of the brand was a strong visual identity system.

The logo and wordmark were kept minimal, giving room for the packaging and product communication to stand out. The color palette played a strategic role: vibrant yet natural hues were applied across product categories, helping consumers easily navigate the range while adding a sense of vitality and freshness. This palette extended across digital and physical touchpoints, reinforcing recognition and coherence.

BAZQ. Cosmetics

BAZIQUE (or BAZQ) was conceived in 2019 from a powerful, minimalist philosophy: that effective skincare should be a fundamental, or ‘basique,’ ritual.

Bazique
Natural Skincare & Minimal Design

BAZIQUE, later shortened to BAZQ, was a natural cosmetics brand I founded in 2019. The name came from the French word basique (basic), embodying the idea that skincare should be simple, healthy, and rooted in nature. The brand’s philosophy was straightforward: provide eco-friendly, natural products that care for both people and the planet. BAZIQUE positioned itself as the bridge—taking care of sustainability and production ethics while inviting consumers to do their part by choosing conscious self-care.

Digital ecosystem

For the e-commerce experience, I designed and managed the full digital ecosystem—from website structure and product photography to social media communication. The online store mirrored the brand’s values: easy to navigate, transparent in product information, and visually consistent with the minimal and clean identity. Social media extended this presence, focusing on lifestyle content and educational messaging about conscious consumption and skincare routines.

A design-driven brand

Packaging design was one of the most impactful expressions of BAZIQUE. The goal was to balance sustainability and shelf appeal: recyclable materials, minimal waste, and bold yet simple graphics. The clear differentiation by color made the line cohesive and easy to recognize while still highlighting the uniqueness of each product. This system not only elevated the perception of natural cosmetics but also positioned BAZIQUE as a contemporary, design-driven brand.

Running BAZIQUE from conception to execution was both a professional and entrepreneurial milestone. Beyond creating a brand identity, I developed a holistic design ecosystem that supported sales, digital presence, and customer experience. By 2025, I chose to close this chapter, but the journey taught me invaluable lessons in strategy, design application, and brand building. It remains one of my proudest projects, where I combined creativity and business acumen to bring a meaningful brand to life.
